Terms & Conditions
Clear Terms for Courier Enquiries and Services
These terms explain how Terra Conexus Ltd handles courier enquiries, quotes, bookings and service expectations.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to use of the Terra Conexus website, courier enquiries made through or directed to Terra Conexus Ltd (company number 16010919, registered in England & Wales), quote requests submitted to Terra Conexus, and courier services arranged with Terra Conexus.
By submitting an enquiry or requesting a quote, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is available on this page.
2. Services and scope
Terra Conexus provides courier support for same-day, urgent, business, overnight and healthcare supplier courier requirements.
All services are subject to availability, route, timing, driver capacity and job requirements. Terra Conexus reserves the right to decline or withdraw from a job where requirements cannot be met, where items fall outside accepted categories, or where necessary information has not been provided.
3. Quotes and bookings
Submitting a quote request does not create a confirmed booking or contractual obligation.
A booking is only confirmed once Terra Conexus confirms availability, timing and cost in writing and the customer accepts the agreed details.
Any special requirements — including unusual dimensions, fragile items, restricted access, time-critical handling or specific service requirements — must be disclosed before a booking is confirmed. Failure to disclose relevant requirements may affect the service or result in additional charges.
4. Availability and timings
Collection and delivery timings provided at the time of quoting are based on information available at that time. Timings are estimates and are subject to route, traffic, weather conditions, access restrictions, driver availability and other operational factors.
Terra Conexus does not offer guaranteed delivery times or guaranteed availability.
5. Customer responsibilities
The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete information before a booking is confirmed, including:
- Collection address and delivery address
- Contact details at both locations
- Item description, approximate size and weight
- Access instructions and any restrictions
- Timing requirements
- Any specific handling requirements
Customers must ensure that all items to be transported are:
- Lawful to transport
- Properly and securely packaged
- Suitable for courier transport
- Correctly described in the booking details
6. Items not accepted
Unless separately agreed and confirmed in writing by Terra Conexus, the following items are not accepted:
- Hazardous goods or dangerous materials
- Clinical waste
- Controlled drugs
- Blood or biological specimens
- Temperature-controlled goods requiring specialist cold chain handling
- Illegal items or goods
- Explosive, toxic or radioactive materials
- Items requiring specialist regulated handling or transport authorisation
- Items that are inadequately packaged or unsafe to transport
Terra Conexus reserves the right to refuse any item that does not meet these requirements.
7. Collection and delivery
The customer is responsible for ensuring that an appropriate person or representative is available at the collection point and, where applicable, the delivery point at the agreed time, unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
Where access issues, recipient unavailability or other circumstances at the collection or delivery point cause delays, waiting time, failed collections or failed deliveries, additional charges may apply. Any such charges will be set out in the agreed quote or written communication.
8. Pricing, invoices and payment
Pricing is based on the agreed quote and depends on route, distance, timing, item details, driver availability and job requirements.
VAT treatment, invoice details and payment terms are confirmed in the agreed quote, invoice or written communication. Terra Conexus reserves the right to issue an invoice for agreed services.
If a job is amended after the initial quote is agreed, revised pricing may apply. Any revision will be confirmed before the amended job proceeds.
9. Cancellations and changes
Cancellations or changes to confirmed bookings should be communicated to Terra Conexus as soon as possible.
Where a driver has already been allocated or dispatched, or where work has already commenced, cancellation or change costs may apply. Applicable charges, if any, will be set out in the agreed quote, invoice or written communication.
10. Liability and limitations
Terra Conexus takes reasonable care in arranging and carrying out courier services.
Customers are responsible for disclosing the nature, value and any special handling requirements of items before booking. Failure to do so may affect the applicable liability position.
The liability position of Terra Conexus, including any applicable insurance arrangements, may depend on the specific job, item type, declared value and written terms agreed at the time of booking. Customers with valuable, sensitive or irreplaceable items should raise this before confirming a booking.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
11. Delays and events outside control
Terra Conexus is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe traffic conditions or road closures
- Adverse weather conditions
- Road accidents or incidents
- Site access restrictions or issues
- Incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer
- Recipient unavailability at the delivery point
- Restrictions imposed by authorities or public bodies
Where delays are caused by events outside its control, Terra Conexus will endeavour to communicate promptly and work to complete the service as soon as reasonably practicable.
12. Data protection
Terra Conexus handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which explains what information is collected, how it is used and the rights available to individuals.
13. Website use
The Terra Conexus website is provided for general information purposes. Content, service descriptions, pricing information and these terms may be updated from time to time without notice.
